Confirmed by 9 users | Last reported on November 27, 2023Wonderful campground with fun, friendly people and very clean bathrooms. We stayed in the tent camping area and were pleased with our experience. We biked easily from the campground all around the island. Recommended!
Expensive campground ($6 for parking then $26 for tent site) but it was VERY clean and definitely some of the best campground showers I have ever experienced. We did have to fend off several raccoons while making dinner, walking, and checking in. Overall, it was a quiet, pleasant stay.
Great spot to camp on Jekyll Island. We did a bike ride on the loop bike trail around the island and visited the Turtle hospital. Campground was great and people were friendly. Plenty of space., although you are close enough that you get to see all your neighbors.
Some tight spaces so ask ahead. Beautiful park with characteristic tall trees and Spanish moss within biking to driftwood beach.
Very clean campsites with easy access to all Jekyll Island amenities. The shower house was always clean with an ample supply of hot water! There is a pet fee BUT we found the entire island to be quite pet friendly. You can even take your dog to the local pizza place and eat on the porch. There is also a fee to enter the island but once you do there is really no reason to leave. It was a little pricy and does have a 2 night min on weekends but it is so convenient it is worth a few more dollars a night. All in all we enjoyed our stay and are planning to bring family back next year.
We really liked this place, we will definitely be back. We camped with in laws as well which made it even better. Rustic campgrounds, lots of trees and a little packed in, but people were quiet and friendly. Lots of families and children since we were here during Christmas break. The bike trails were great, weather was great. The only downside was lots of no seeums (biting gnats) in the morning and evening. We had 30 amp only site, cable TV hookup, strong cell and wifi. This is our favorite type of campground.

This is a beautiful campground in a perfect spot on Jekyll Island. Full hook-ups include water, electricity, sewer and cable. Lots of channels available on the cable. It was packed while we were there and our spot was super tight as we booked last minute. Would avoid B8 next time. But there are lots of great spots and we have already reserved for a full week next year. Many people were there for a couple of months and know each other. We were invited over to a group of musicians all playing music around a fire. Very friendly from both the customers and the hosts. The best thing though about this campground is the location. Jekyll Island is beautiful. We walked down to Clam Creek and the fishing pier (right across the street from the campground entrance) every day and rode our bikes through the trail system which goes around the whole island. Great restaurants and beaches. Can’t wait to go back.

Decent campground. Very wooded and most sites were very shaded. Beautiful scenery with the oaks and Spanish moss. Very crowded and sites a tad too close together, for my liking. Stayed in loop C towards the back. Here during the summer and the mosquitoes were absolutely atrocious at the campground, even with a fire and mosquito repellents. So bad that we left a day early. Biking and beaches in the area were great though! Would return in a different season.
