I highly recommend this luau experience. The beauty of this culture sand history was present in everything at the luau, and the activites were so much fun. You felt very welcome there.

It was a little unfortunate for my husband and I as our experience was cancelled during the Imu ceremonydue to reactions to weather changes. The issue was NOT because it started to rain, but because the "mainlanders" freaked out when it started to rain - which happens all year round in Hawaii! Just about everyone got up and just started leaving. Mind you, no one apart of the ceremony (staff, etc) skipped a beat and proceeded to go through the ceremony. The luau had to be cancelled because everyone was demanding their money back. We were disappointed in our fellow mainlanders as we thought it was all the more romantic when it started to rain (and staff were passing out ponchos, too!) and I think besides us, there was one or two other couples who stayed in our seats after it started to rain. We didn't want to leave! We were really disappointed in the other visitors there (someone cried out, "my makeup!" Are you serious?!) and embarassed that we came from the same place as some of them! We couldn't even reschedule because we had to leave for home not long after.

All I know is, we will be back and we will enjoy this luau again.
