If you need an airport hotel, this one is great, it's literally across the street from the airport! However, as a homebase for exploring New Orleans, it's about 12 miles from downtown. hotel is also a 12.5-mile drive from downtown New Orleans. Also, Wifi isn't free here. There's a daily fee to use it. The good news, there's an onsite restaurant, no free breakfast though. But, free shuttle service to the airport.
