“Specializing in creek-side lobster feasts!”
A local legend, Chauncey Spinney started selling boiled lobster and lobster rolls from his simple pier-side stand back in 1948, and his family now oversees the operation, which has expanded the menu beyond crustaceans, or "bugs," to include homemade chowder, chili, chicken, and even cheesecake by the slice. During the warm seasons, the colorful picnic tables on the wooden, open-air deck are highly contested, and an enclosed area shelters diners from the elements during the cooler months.
We have to agree with previous review...lots of hype, nice view of water but not so great food. Lobster rolls cost $20 and were not very good, way better ones that cost less elsewhere! Fish sandwich and kids pizza were not any better. I would recommend saving a little money and your taste buds and look elsewhere.
It was one of those places that has a lot of hype but with a really nice atmosphere overlooking the water. Many people were bringing in side salads and they allow BYOB which was really nice. It was a great opportunity for families to save money in some areas
We had Lobster Rolls which were good but not amazing. We also had the clams which were on the gritty side but good.
We thought the price was on the higher side for the end result. We don't mind spending money on great food but we personally wouldn't go back just because we would be on the search for something better!
Amazing Experience!! The lobster was incredibly fresh. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We would go back in a heartbeat!!
