This place is a local secret and really epic! If you're looking for the quietest of the Ithaca-area falls...you found it. Drive up Ludlowville Rd. past the Lansing high school and follow it until it dead-ends at a park. At the edge of the park you can look over to the incredible view of the falls. Or get adventurous with it and find the foot path that leads to the basin. The swimming hole is also awesome, but don't expect to be able to stand the temperature if you're dipping past August. By far the best feature of the falls is the incredible cave that sits below. You can swim into the outcropping and usually look out on a rainbow if you hit the site early enough in the morning. Can't recomend enough.
Super nice falls and it’s a little gem that’s never packed. It’s behind the park / playground.
This place is really amazing, and it's a local secret! Take a right on Ludlowville Rd. past the Lansing high school and follow it to the park at the dead end. You can walk to the edge of the park and look over at the falls or get a little more adventurous and find the footpath that follows to the base. Pretty great swimming hole, but the water temperature is NOT for the faint of heart if you're dipping in past August. The best feature of Ludlowville Falls is the incredible cave outcropping you can swim into and look-out. You'll probably get a rainbow!
