a worthy stop while in louisville. exhibits are nice, animals were lively, and the lions were.. making cubs.
We had an incredible time at the Louisville Zoo. We frequent the Philadelphia Zoo and used our memberships for a discount here. The place was fairly empty, but that may have been because of the Independence Day holiday. The giraffes and sea lions were our favorite. The temporary butterfly exhibit was awesome as well. The two eleven-year-olds thoroughly enjoyed their time here. We ended up staying to close after only expecting to spend an hour or two here.
We enjoyed this zoo. You will need at least 2 days to see/do everything here. I gave it 4 stars because so many of the enclosures are too small to be truly comfortable/enjoyable for the animals
This is a really great zoo. My wife and I went late summer 2015, middle of the week, there were lots of kids and families there. We were the only people there without kids I think but we still had lots of fun.
