Jerry's Junk

Jerry Lotz is an artist in the way he puts together this collection. He spares no expense--he has been filling this lot up with his collection of anything and everything for 50 years. He lives above it. This is only one of five houses he owns on the block, and they're all full of stuff! Be sure to check out the "Meadow" of objects behind the home.

He can often be fond sitting on a bench outside, friendly and approachable. Be polite--it is his home. He's eager to chat though and tells wonderful stories!

He has an entire train carriage...ancient cars you could fit a body in...aliens...art...really, he has everything.

It was Awesome to meet Jerry and see his whole crazy collection. He even gave us a small antique anvil paperweight as a souvenir!

Visited with Jerry last summer on a trip through the area. What a wonderful man and a massive collection. Thank God we brought the cargo trailer, because we loaded up on stuff from Jerry! One of my absolute favorite purchases was a 9' tall rooster that I painted red, white and blue, and he stands guard out at the road by my house in Indiana. He has his own facebook page, "Poppycock". He has become quite the roadside attraction here with people stopping by to take pictures with him.

Apparently he passed away in July 2019 and his collection went up for auction. I didn’t go based on that information

This place definitely has some interesting things. It wasn't open, per se. Jerry was not available. The gates were closed, so the photo op was disappointing, to say the least.
