“Roasted varietals and blends from around the world.”
Since 1992 Looney Bean of Mammoth has been the beginning of the trail for locals and tourists alike on their way to start the morning… before heading out for a day of riding/skiing, biking, hiking, climbing, or fishing. The Original Looney Bean, Mammoth’s first coffee roaster, is now located in the corner of the Rite Aid Mall in the heart of downtown Mammoth Lakes. Here you’ll find friendly service and fresh baked pastries prepared on site daily. Mammoth Looney Bean Coffeehouse & Roasting Company owners Brad & Leyla Williams have been coffeehouse tourists for years and have an insane passion for coffee and community. Their passion was personalized in 1995 when they discovered a village of coffee farmers in Chiapas, Mexico that had been violently forced from their farms and homes. They helped the village get reestablished in the coffee business. The desire to have their own coffeehouse came true in 2010 when they were able to buy the Mammoth Looney Bean Store. Each bag of beans purchased for roasting at their local site has culture and history that transports with it. Brad is now able to roast in Mammoth these origin beans into what becomes a ingredient for memories being made while sipping a favorite drink. Brad & Leyla have traveled all over the world, lived in many countries, can give you great leads for local coffeehouses throughout the continents and look forward to hosting you when you are in the Sierras.
