“An unprecedented fan experience!”

Aug 9 - Aug 17 2014 The Western & Southern Open is one of only five places on the globe, outside of the Grand Slams, to see the world's best men's and women's tennis players at the same venue during the same week. The fan experience is unprecedented. Fans can get closer to players during matches and practice than any other event in the world. The Western & Southern Open is the nation's oldest professional tennis tournament played in its city of origin. First played in 1899 on the site of current day Xavier University, the Open has been a fixture in the Queen City for more than a century. The champions list reads like a who's who of tennis greats, with more than 100 International Tennis Hall of Famers having played in Cincinnati over the years.

This is a good venue and steadily getting better everytime I've attended. This will soon be a premier event and tickets will be hard to come by and expensive, so if you get the opportunity, head out now, while it's still cool.

If you are a tennis fan, you MUST come to this tourney. All the top players in the world are there (if they're healthy). While it doesn't match the enormous venue and sponsorship of the US Open, it makes up for it by giving fans incredible closeness and access to the players. Want an autograph? You're way more likely to get it here than anywhere else. This is truly "The US Open of Flyover Country" and tennis fans from the US heartland turn out to make this the biggest sporting and social event in Cincinnati every year. In fact, many people from all over the world come to this event because of the unprecedented fan access. Mark the third week in August on your calendar, and come to Cincinnati!!! Tickets are plentiful up to mid-week, and the cost is relatively low for such a major event!!!!!!

Really unique tournament to Mason, OH and brings in the best tennis players in the world, year in, year out. Tickets are priced as such and can be very expensive, but you need to check out this tournament if you are a sports fan in Cincinnati
