Open since 1998, Napa Café is tucked away in a pleasant corner of Sanderlin Centré. Owner Glenda Hastings restaurant has received numerous awards and accolades, including Best Wine List, Best Business Dinner, and Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. With its polished yet inviting interior, captivating artwork and distinctive cuisine, Napa Café elicits superlatives from first-time visitors, as well as from the guests who return again and again. Chef Ben Adams oversees the kitchen with a watchful eye and inimitable aplomb. Seared lump crabmeat cakes and venison carpaccio – just two of the succulent first courses. Fresh tomato soup is a heart-warming beginning to any meal, and the walnut-pear salad combines spinach with Roquefort cheese, candied walnuts and Port vinaigrette. The main course is an epicurean adventure that includes Harris Ranch filet mignon, lamb loin and what is widely considered to be some of the best seafood in town. For dessert, treat yourself to Key lime-mascarpone cannoli, Belgian chocolate pâté or praline-pecan ice cream pie with warm caramel sauce – a grand finale if there ever was one.
