Using her experience in the food distributing industry and his experience in New York's restaurant industry, Shelly and David began Wang's Mandarin House with a rental truck full of restaurant supplies and chefs from New York's bustling Chinatown. The influence from their mother's home cooking that originated in her hometown in China guided David and Shelly in those first few months and Memphis quickly caught on. Nearly three decades later, David and Shelly continue with the same mission and are grateful for Memphians' support.
