“nautical-inspired, playful restaurant”
Celebrated restaurateur Claudio Giordano opens his third restaurant in Miami Beach, fittingly titled Mare Mio. ﾠFueling the renaissance of charming Espanola Way, the nautical-inspired, playful restaurant anchors the corner of Drexel with an airy, bright dining room, bar and romantic patio seating. The extensive menu showcases Giordano’s renowned specialties including locally caught, pristine seafood, organic meats and house made pastas. A rolling trolley displays whole fish, line caught by Giordano’s local fisherman, with an extensive variety of oysters, clams, lobster, shrimp and stone crab. ﾠAlong with Giordano’s infamous homemade pasta (several favorites from Alta Mare can be found), “From the Farm” features bison tenderloin carpaccio, an 8-hour braised short rib, grilled lamb chops and an 18-ounce, certified Angus prime NY steak (bone in).ﾠ For celebrations and large parties, e rabbit, a 7 to 8 pound suckling pig and a full rack of lamb can be ordered 24 hours in advance. Giordano’s wine expertise shines through the wine list with boutique vineyards, bold blends and classic varietals.ﾠ A full bar is available including apéritifs and digestifs and champagnes with daily hour happy hour (5 to 7 pm) offering $1 oysters, $5 sliders, $12 whole fish and $6 wine by the glass and cocktails.
