Men dressed in suits and women wearing long dresses wodd wait to take a seat at the counter and tell Raul how they wanted their steaks cut and cooked to their Specifications. Today, our core customers consist of the children of those families for whom Raul prepared special meals. Using the finest quality ingredients, we at Isias Canarias Restaurant strive to prepare the best tasting homemade dishes from our family’: original recipes Here you can find traditional home cooking from Cuba such as oxtail in wine sauce, tamal en cazuela, and ajiaco, to the more noweau" chicken filet stuffed with seafood in pink sauce. Our chefs also prepare delicacies from the highest quality fish and seafood. Our Restaurant offers a friendly atmosphere reminiscent of Raul and Ameiia’s personal attention to our customers. Our modern ambiance makes for a pleasant experience especially when coupled with our delicious food and attentive service. We would like to invite you to come and enjoy our authentic Cuban and spanish cuisine and become a part of our family.
We stopped by to get the croquettes. There was a bit of a language barrier, but that is the stuff that makes memories. I ended up with croquettes in a styrofoam box and we ate them in the car. They are a unique food with a familiar but different experience. If you are looking to try the unique foods of Florida, this is a great stop.
Known by locals as the best spot for authentic Cuban croquettes (fried breaded rolls filled with anything from ham to fish), this family owned restaurant has been around for more than 30 years serving everything from oxtail to Spanish omelets. Although it's out of the way from Miami's center attractions, people like Anthony Bourdain are always quick to make the trip.
