“specializing in food and fun”
Shades Of Brown is a brand new coffee shop experience for Middlesboro & the tri-state area. We opened 22 Jan 2008. Located at 2119 Cumberland Avenue in Historic Downtown Middlesboro, Shades of Brown offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; the perfect place to get away and enjoy your favorite hot or cold beverage in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer Columbian gourmet coffee, and our espresso bean is a medium-roast South American specialty blend. We have frappes, smoothies, and a wide variety of specialty desserts.Teresa Brown, owner of Shades, while keeping the character and charm of the historic area, remodeled the building with laminate floating floors, new walls, high ceilings, and an open lobby that seats 20-25.High and low tables, bench seating and a cozy love seat adorn the lobby. Teresa picked the colors which are all earth tones, with the ceiling painted a dark birds-nest brown, the lobby walls Penn’s Woods Green, and the espresso center is copper.Wireless internet access available throughout the building. Come in, log on, and relax. Meet your friends…or just unwind after a long day.Two study/business rooms are available for the convenience of students and businesspeople. This is a perfect place for a short business meeting, or to study for the next test…or read a book. We welcome the D-COM, LMU, SECC, and all high school students. But please remember…these rooms are designated as “quiet rooms,” and we may need to rotate guests in and out of these rooms from time to time.
If you are wanting to enjoy a west coast espresso with a New York sized cakes in a awesome meteorite city In Appalachia then this is the place for you. With it's fresh scene of combining healthy Cuisine with fresh market taste, there is no better place to enjoy an evening dinner
