“not just a store - a way of life”

"Wild Bill is a man on a mission, and that mission is keeping all your favorite objects from retro nostalgia alive. The entire building that makes up Wild Bill's Nostalgia Center is designed to make you "nostalgia bomb" all over the place… and it does its job well.

Anything that you, your friends, your parents, or that annoying neighbor kid who always had better toys than you may have once owned, is probably at Wild Bill's Nostalgia Store. I'm talking wall-to-wall lunch boxes, trading cards, stickers, toys, action figures, posters, and records. Nothing about this place takes itself seriously, and because of that it's one of the best places to waste away an entire afternoon going, "holy crap, I remember that!"

Wild Bill's even has a "haunted" fun house with rides that look exactly like the cat-house from Beetlejuice… this place does not f*#k around in the fun department, people. It is the fun department. Period. The amazing retro-entertainment center's funhouse was created with Wild Bill's long time friend and artist Chuck Burnham, and is one of America's only working memorials dedicated to all things terrifyingly-vintage.

The nostalgia center is currently the subject of a documentary film centering around the recreation of retro amusement park rides, some of which are the last of their kind left in America. Wild Bill's has drawn the attention of documentary film crews who are currently following the restoration of the center's five "Pretzel Dark Rides" which once belonged to the iconic Pretzel Amusement Ride Company. Today there are only a few remaining PARC rides that actually work, and most have been lost forever to junk yards and scrap heaps around the country.

If you're a fan of anything awesome that has ever been made (which of course you are) taking a trip to Wild Bill's Nostalgia Center is going to turn into an afternoon of rediscovering everything that you've ever loved. Ever. And heck, you'll even leave having found more things to obsess about! Yay!" -Roadtrippers

In a time of economic uncertainty, the proprietor of wild bills nostalgic center, in Middletown, CT, Bill Ziegler, is busy building his dream of providing a fun, nostalgic place to celebrate a retro amusement experience for the entire family with an interesting “twist” to offer affordable fun and memories. Against the backdrop of the present day digitized and socially desensitized society, it's a breath of fresh air to experience a place to let your imagination run wild and rekindle the love of your childhood days on a midway full of fun houses, dark rides and old fashioned New England style treats long since forgotten. With the help of long time friend and well known midway artist/ designer, Chuck Burnham, the dream of building a working memorial filled to the brim with the sometimes scary, but always fun, dark rides and fun houses of midway's past has become a reality.

The fifteen minute walk through “Haunted House” fun house, is the first of many such rides this duo has diabolically devised for the growing public that misses these attractions dearly. “The only thing we are now missing is enough funds to build them faster,” Ziegler says. “Wild Bills Nostalgia Center is not just a store, it's a way of life, and we have volunteers, plenty of spirit, and well wishes, but it's not enough,” says Chuck, adding that, “Most parks hang their hats on their “virtual experiences”, where here at Wild Bills you can have “actual fun experiences.”

Don't leave without checking out the vintage amusement rides, some of which are the last of their kind.
