“Reinventing classic midwestern cuisine: fine dining in Minneapolis, MN”
HauteDish is a unique culinary concept that both embraces and reinvents classic Midwestern cuisine. Housed in a charming turn of the century building in the Minneapolis Warehouse District, this moderately priced full service restaurant presents a casual dining atmosphere in an upscale setting.Raised in the culinary hot bed of Aberdeen, South Dakota Landon Schoenefeld was quite obviously predisposed to having a refined palette and passion for haute cuisine. While honing his skills at local upscale eateries such as Scottie’s Drive-In, Shoenefeld’s inherent passion for food began to fully take form. After quickly scaling to the summit of Aberdeen’s culinary mountain Schoenefeld left his native land in search of new and greater challenges. It was this inherent drive that brought him to Minneapolis, but not before spending a summer wrestling bears in Alaska. When not engaged in battle with grizzlies, Schoenefeld could often be found experimenting with a vast array of flavor’s, textures and ingredients at the Denali Cabins. After conquering the Pacific Northwest, Schoenefeld made his way South to Minneapolis where the mercurial chef embarked upon a path that led him through many of the Twin Cities finest establishments, as well as some of its worst, eventually finding his way as co-owner and self proclaimed Kitchen Overlord at HauteDish.
