“This is serious bar-b-que!”
The Brick Pit serves only the best quality meat available, which is smoked up to 30 hours over a blend of hickory and pecan wood. So pull up a chair and find out what most mobilians already know... Our "slow-southern" style BBQ is the very best! The Brick Pit is featured in two new books, "A Thousand Places To See Before You Die in the US and Canada", by Patricia Schultz and "Real Barbecue, The One-hundred Best BBQ Joints In The Country", by Vince Staten and Gregg Johnson. Featured in Maxim Magazine, August 2008. Best Wet Rib's in America! Also featured on Season 4 of Man vs. Food!
Presentation of sandwiches was plain, not appetizing in appeal. Need to add chips to a plain sandwich. Food was however very good. Meat was well prepared and tasty. Choices of sauce, spicy or regular provides nice options. Baked beans had good smoked flavor and coleslaw was crisp and refreshing. Plates could use two pieces of bread. Service was good. One in our group did not like placing his own order. Ice tea tasted one day old. Good start to our trip.
