“Discover this Hidden Treasure!”
Redwood offers four reserveable picnic sites for groups ranging in size from 50 to 150. Some are in secluded glades and others in open, grassy areas; telephone 1-888-EBPARKS or 1-888-327-2757, press option 2. The picnic sites are accessible to persons with disabilities. There is a children's play structure about one-quarter mile down Stream Trail from the Canyon Meadow staging area. Several group day and overnight camping areas are located within the park. They are available by reservation only; telephone 1-888-EBPARKS or 1-888-327-2757, press option 2, for information. Hiking, jogging, and horseback riding are popular on the park's nearly 40 miles of trails. The East Bay Skyline National Trail and Bay Area Ridge Trail traverses Redwood for part of its 31-mile course. Fishing is not allowed in the park.
Really nice place to hike. Also tons of places for picnics, as well a few spots to camp. The ridge trail does get really warm though in the early afternoon due to their not being much shade so make sure you plenty of water available. Definitely recommend to hike the stream trail, which takes you through a whole bunch of massive redwood trees and is absolutely beautiful.
