This place is like a mall had a baby with a resort. There are so many shops and restaurants in here that you never have to leave... but should you decide to venture outside the glass atrium, the Grand Ole Opry is within walking distance. Unfortunately, it's not very close to Broadway or the Gulch or anything else, but you don't really need to leave the resort if you don't want to.

Outdoor self-parking for $29 is outrageous! We just went for dinner and to see the place--- not stay for a week. It is worth walking around. The water features, gardens, boutique shops and 17 restaurants is worth a little time. Just going for dinner was very expensive, but I can say I have seen it.

A lot to walk around and see. Would have gotten 5 stars but they nickel and dime you.

What makes the Gaylord Opryland Resort the ideal place to rest your head during a visit to the Grand Ole Opry is its proximity. The parking lot of the Opry can get pretty crazy at night, but you don’t have to worry if you’re staying at Opryland….it’s right next door with a walking path that leads you directly there.

In addition to that, Opryland Hotel is just AMAZING! It holds 9 acres of indoor gardens, with waterfalls, winding paths, gorgeous greenery and surprises at every turn. You won’t want to leave (well, except to head to the Opry)!

This is a must see to walk around the lobby area. Parking is $33 but you can park on the outskirts of their lot and walk on the grounds for free.

Very frustrating place to stay! Huge beautiful and impressive grounds, but very poor signage and info for getting around, or about use of the facilities. We were given wrong info about there services for getting to The Grand Ole Opry, which cost us time. Even getting out of the parking lot was a hassle. Don’t leave your key in the room when leaving, you need it to open the gate to get out of the parking lot. Our room was nothing special. 2 queen beds, but only one chair, no wash rags. I expect more for $389 a night. I definitely felt like it was designed to get as much money out of the guest as possible!
I would not stay there again. I would suggest going to the Cascade Garden and getting a drink at The Falls, enjoy the music and walk around in the conservatory though.

We had our prom here twice and my Senior prom was the night of the big Nashville flood. Fun! The gardens are so beautiful, and tons of shops. It's like a little town in a hotel.
