“Soul style cooking”
The best sweet tea, roast beef, turnip greens, string beans, fried green tomatos and more! Incredible rolls. Don't forget some pie, either (may we suggest some Southern Chess pie?)! Arnold's is only open for lunch from M-F- get here early or you may wait in line! Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives! Plan to arrive early to grab a parking spot in the cracked and busted lot next to Arnold's, a soul-food landmark for more than 2 decades. Be prepared to stand in line and to share a table with strangers too, if you plan to eat your buffet meal on the premises. But don't worry; over fried green tomatoes, barbecued pork, fried chicken, and knee-weakening mashed potatoes, you're always among friends.

Man. Sad this place is closing and more upset that it took me so long to try this place out. Just overall great southern food at very reasonable prices at $15 for a meat and 3 sides. Truly... Read more
I was surprised: It actually lives up to the hype. Perfectly seasoned breading for the fried catfish; green beans similar to my late grandmother's; tasty fried chicken livers; etc. If you like meat-and-two places, you won't be disappointed. Read more
To taste the roots of Nashville, stand in line alongside everyone from executives to glass fitters at the city's most beloved meat and three. Owners Jack and Rose Arnold, who opened the space in 1981, have passed the torch to their son, Kahlil, but the whole family pitches in regularly. Open only for lunch, Arnold's is a classic steam-table cafeteria serving gently spiced collards, mounds of roast beef, fried green tomatoes and cayenne-laced chocolate pie. Read more
