“Dinner is ready in Nashville”
Great Food Always Has A History. Our's began in 1943 when, at the age of 9, Jim Demos began working with his father Pete in their small family owned restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama. As a Greek immigrant family, the Demos’ knew the importance of offering exceptional food with authentic ingredients at quality prices. After working at his father’s restaurant through his teenage years, Jim met and married the love of his life, Doris, following his service in the U.S. Army and time spent working in the theatre industry. Jim would later revisit his culinary upbringing by building and operating a series of restaurant franchises. After selling the restaurants in 1989, Jim and Doris moved to Murfreesboro, TN and started to dream of creating a new culinary concept. This unique restaurant would emphasize affordable entrees made with family recipes and would deliver service that would consistently exceed expectations. Jim and Doris both had a desire to operate their restaurant without the usual corporate restraints, making it possible to ensure an exceptional dining experience for every customer. Out of this vision, the first Demos' Restaurant was opened in 1989. The first location in Murfreesboro was cultivated entirely by the Demos', with Jim refining the kitchen and menu items and Doris developing the front-house service systems.
This was a FANTASTIC place to eat!!! GREAT service and DELICIOUS FOOD - a 30 minute wait but ABSOLUTELY worth it!
