“simply delicious”
Kay Bob's Grill & Ale was conceived as a healthy alternative for the Hillsboro Village and Vanderbilt crowd. Besides being healthy the food is a unique blend of Persian and Southern influences. Owner, Amir Arab, also considers himself a mix of Persian and Southern cultures since he was born in Tehran, Iran, but has lived most of his life in Nashville, Tennessee. When we first opened in 2011, Kay Bob's Grill & Ale concentrated on providing all natural, antibiotic free chicken and beef on handcrafted flat bread sandwiches. Our meats, vegetables and seafood are grilled to order over an open flame on large skewers as our homemade flat bread bakes in the oven. We also created unique freshly made sauces to pair with our dishes such as Spicy Mango, Cucumber, House Barbecue, Sweet & Spicy Mustard and Horseradish. We can make meals to accommodate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. The response we received was great and within a year we added more healthy salad options, appetizers, as well as platters complete with grilled meat, seafood and vegetables served with Basmati rice and flat bread. One of our biggest additions to Kay Bob's Grill & Ale was the enlarging of our craft draft beer selection to 23 taps. This has allowed us to really showcase local, regional and national craft beers. Our list is always changing and customers love coming in to see what we have to offer. At Kay Bob's Grill & Ale we welcome every guest with smile, and extend an open invitation for you to spend some time with our family. We look forward to providing our customers with quality cuisine with a neighborhood feel. With our unique blend of Persian and Southern influences we make food that can only be described as "simply delicious."

This was pretty good. I'm honestly giving 4 stars because the roasted veggies were so good. The meat on the kubideh platter was good as well: seasoned & tender, which is all I ask for. The rice... Read more
