The friends organization supporting Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site in Pemaquid, Maine.
This is our third time being here from Ohio. It's a very picturesque place. There are plenty of signs directing you to the correct spot, as well as our GPS. There is the circular fort (Fort William Henry) you can tour. There's a great view up top. There's a picnic area that sits on a green hill overlooking the water. In the water you can see lobster traps, lobster/fishing boats, kayaks, birds, and more. Our main thing we came to see in the area was the Pemaquid Lighthouse (on the state quarter of Maine.) If you are going to see that, this is really close by, and you should stop off here for a visit.
