Beard's Resort

Beard's Resort is located on a spring-fed lake perfect for swimming, boating, skiing, fishing -- a great place to spend a relaxing time with your family and friends. The sandy beach is clean and safe, with a swingset and beach toys for the kids, along with paddleboats and a canoe. In the evening, sit around the bonfire and watch the stars come out. Visit the snack bar for some Schwan's ice cream, pizza, and other snacks, and challenge yourself with video games, pool, air hockey and table games. For those who think a summer isn't complete without fishing, Long Lake is spring-fed, so the water is clear and clean. The lake is small -- 280 acres -- with a range of fish habitats. There are shallow, weedy bays packed with bass, as well as deep holes with walleyes and northerns. Within casting distance of the dock the water depth drops to 12 feet -- sunfish, bass, and crappies are within an easy throw. The bait house has nightcrawlers, leeches, and a variety of minnows -- all the makings of a great fishing vacation.
