“The best po-boys in NOLA”
New Orleans is known for having delicious Po-Boys so it's not taken lightly when someone claims to have the best Po-Boy in NOLA. Whether it's shrimp or one of the other delicious varieties you'll love these po-boys. Make sure to get it sauced or you'll feel like a fool. More than just a local sandwich shop they also have a full service bar. If you are looking for some of the best food in NOLA don't miss this place. A "New Orleans institution", this Uptown po' boy "joint" has been serving "crusty" French loaves "overstuffed" with "fat", "crispy" oysters, shrimp or roast beef "smothered in gravy" "since forever" (or 1924); its "decor consists mostly of old photos", but the counter crew "assembles your sandwich like a well-oiled machine", and it has a "lovely local feel"; P.S. closed Sundays and Thursdays.
The sandwiches are expensive-- but they're huge and they're delicious. Definitely consider splitting one. The place is tiny as well, so get it for takeout!
If you're going to get a seafood po-boy in New Orleans, never settle. Domilise's hasn't; the same family has been battering and frying oysters and shrimp to order for generations. And for only a couple of bucks, you can add seriously cold beer in a frosty fishbowl mug.
