Serving a creative, personal interpretation Chinese-American food. The restaurant uses Chinese flavors and ingredients in artful, surprising combinations that feel contemporary even when they look old-school, like in the stir-fried bean sprouts with squid. Other dishes are beautiful in the au courant lots-of-white-space, geometric-dabs-of-sauce style, like the row of thinly sliced deep red beets speckled with bright green chive and century-egg purée.
