“deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains”
Our campground is open all year. Come spend a day, a week, or even a month in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the crown jewel of the eastern U.S. park system. Laze around in the heated and air-conditioned one or two-room Cabins, or park your RV on one of our large, shady sites. Tent Sites can be found sprinkled around our grounds to accommodate all visitors.Hang out in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Forbidden Caverns, and Dollywood Theme Park, or stop by dozens of the shops only minutes away. If you have the time, Tanger Outlet Mall is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge. Hike in the Cherokee National Forest, or go boating, fishing and rafting on the Tennessee Valley Authority lakes. Bring your boats and Jet Skis; we have a boat launch less than 10 minutes away and this family-friendly KOA has secure additional parking. The Pigeon, French Broad, and Nolichucky Rivers reflect the beautiful mountain scenery and offer optimal freshwater fishing. Pets are welcome too!Pool: May 20 - September 15. Max pull thru is 60 feet. We do offer off-season extended stays (90 days max). Feel free to give us a call for more details.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 06, 2019We stayed here overnight earlier this summer. This is an older campground that is not really suited for large rigs. The access road passes over a creek with a one lane bridge just slightly wider than the coach. The turn into our site was made quite difficult because of road width and multiple cars parked outside space 34. Heavily treed sites fairly close together.

It is what you would expect from KOA. Not what I'm looking for in a camp ground but a place to park for a few days. It was clean and friendly but lots of permanent residence and lots of interstate noise.

Very run down; pool is full of leaves, spaces are crammed on top of each other. WiFi doesn’t work at all. If I was needed to stay longer than a night I would have kept driving.
Pretty basic, not much to do here. It worked for what we needed. but to do over we would skip this one.
Don't rent a cabin here!!!!! BED BUGS, 6 CONFIRMED KILLS, 23 BITES ON ONE ARM (that's where I stopped counting). ONE LIVE ONE IN JAR, office is closed. Like this isn't enough....1 dead BLACK WIDOW in bowl with cover. Office still closed. The spider was running across the floor.
