Dineh Bekeyah Tour

We are so glad we booked our Monument Valley tour with Dineh Bekeyah. The road into the valley is unsealed, in places very rough and in others very sandy. In my opinion it is not a place for a 2 wheel drive family sedan, yet many visitors were taking the risk. Monument Valley also isn't just about the geological formations, its also about the people who have called this land home for centuries. Taking this tour added a great dimension to what could have been just a drive through some impressive rocks. Highly recommended.

I want to give them more than 5 stars. Just a great job. They don't charge as much as some of the other tours and they do a great job. Derek was our guide and was very informative and patient with us and our questions and such. I know you can drive through in your car - but to hear the stories is well worth the time. Ditch your car and let a professional tell you about this wonderful experience.

So glad we booked this tour. We ended up having a private tour as no one else joined us. Our guide Pete took us to some beautiful places. I would highly recommend that you book a tour and not drive your hired car (even a Jeep) yourself as it takes some skills to drive through the sand and it will be very expensive for you to be rescued. We saw some hire cars going down knowing they will not make their way back up. Pete gave us lots of information about the dineh people. Pete even sang a song for us, the song of the bear, I was very moved by this. Highly recommended!
