I'm standing in line right now for the lower canyon . This is a live review . MY RECOMMENDATION UP FRONT : BOOK ONLINE AHEAD OF TIME. Unfortunately we did not and have been standing in line for about 45 min to get a trip inside. And the first available time isn't even for another 2 hours. When you get inside you have a choice of which tour you want : Someone named Ken on the right and Dixie Ellis . I have no idea the difference between the two since we came straight to the DE (honestly they had the better signage, shallow I know) . The Navajo park permit and canyon total $33 a person however they do offer military discounts which was cool for us ($17 a person + $8 Navajo permit = $25 per) plus a 3% service for debit/credit . Soooo yea definitely book online if you can and if not get up early, book a time and then do horseshoe bend / glen canyon dam to kill time
