“saving & protecting the big cats!”
Your tour will take you on a guided half-mile walk outdoors on grass and gravel to meet some of the world's most endangered species. Your guide will personally introduce you to tigers, lions, caracals, servals, ocelots, binturongs, and kinkajous, explaining the rescue stories that brought them to Carolina Tiger Rescue and the issues that their kind face in the wild. The tour will last approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours, depending on the group's involvement. Twilight tours available seasonally (April-October) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at sunset. These special walks are during the most active part of our predators' days.
Amazing Big Cats... all rescued! Many of these beautiful animals were foolishly purchased by folks as pet and when life got real these same folks abandoned these wild creatures. This is a wonderful conservatory effort and a once-in-a-lifetime educational opportunity. Definitely not a zoo, these creatures are so well cared for and given home-like environments as well as appropriate entertainment & diet for their species. So very well done! Tours will not disappoint, just be sure to have lots of room on your camera & donate if you can.
