“home to over 5000 relics of the catholic faith”
St. Anthony's Chapel is located on Troy Hill, overlooking the Allegheny River on the North Side of Pittsburgh's. Dedicated to "The Wonder Worker" ( or Saint Anthony of Padua) this holy shrine houses the largest public collection of relics in the World (over 5000 relics) and has been designated a Historical Landmark by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.
Not as impressive as I had imagined. Beautiful church, absolutely beautiful!
You can get a tour with a docent who can explain what all of the artifacts are, where they came from, what they mean, etc. Super weird and interesting, even for a non-Catholic!
