“One of Rolling Stone Magazine's "Best Clubs"”
In October 2004 Doug Fir opened its doors and made a dramatic impact on Portland's music scene. Located just East of the Downtown business core. Doug Fir is a state of the art venue unlike any live music room existing in Portland. Conveying a new twist on the Northwest aesthetic, Doug Fir is swank yet comfortable, the interior of the club draws on 50's modernism with generous original woodwork, one of a kind glass design and a full range menu spanning breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night. Our décor is a modernist diner with profound Northwest influence, an ideal somewhere between “Twin Peaks” and a chic cosmopolitan truck stop. Like the name itself, Doug Fir conveys a local traditionalism that displays a sense of old-school comfort and elegance. Some of our signature menu items include a delicious Cascade Scramble with wild mushrooms and gruyere, our world famous Fir Burger, House Cured Pork Chops, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. In keeping with our Northwest ethos, all our ingredients come from local purveyors. The restaurant in Doug Fir is an affordable 150 capacity restaurant, bar and outdoor patio area featuring impeccable service in an approachable but appreciably fancy setting. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, Doug Fir is open 7 days a week from 7am until late.
