Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on July 07, 2023Overall, a decent park, but cramped. Camped there with a 42’ 5th wheel. There are two sections that are split by Hwy 101. Since I was there with an RPI reservation, we were limited to the north, riverside section. The road down the hill is fairly steep and very rough so had to ride the brakes going down. The spaces were very tight with mostly full hookup, 30 amp sites (the 8 or 9 sites that are on the waters edge are water/electric only). The sites are so close together, you can’t put awnings out all the way without hitting your neighbor’s rig, and my bedroom slide on the other side was nearly overlapping the other neighbor’s picnic table. But, all of the neighbors are friendly with quite a few of them apparently there for the season. There’s a boat ramp and docks that folks were crab fishing from. Also a great place for bird watching, especially the herons and bald eagles. The laundry room could use some upgrades, but the one washer and dryer I used worked fine ($1 to wash, $.75 to dry). There are train tracks that are spitting distance from most of the sites, but it’s for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. We only heard it come by once in the week we were there, and never at night or early morning.
The southern, uphill section of the campground has much wider, more private sites with what looks like mostly permanent residents, but no views of the water. This is also where the two pools and hot tub are located, although they were still shut down for whatever reason.
Portland is a little under two hours away. Tillamook is about 30 minutes south and worth visiting the creamery there. Also check out the Blue Heron French Cheese Company there. As with most of the Oregon coast, there are lots of great hiking trails nearby right off the 101.

The sites here are so small that there’s no way to open your awning. It took some magic to get level. The electrical box was non functional and pieces fell out if you attempt to plug in. The receipt has a reminder: No refunds if the electricity fails at your site. The other campers were super friendly and sweet.

This campground is broken into two sections on either side of HWY 101. Check in is a bit confusing, there is a small guard building right off the HWY. No one was there and we missed the sign that said to call so we drove down a very steep. entry only to find out that we had to check in at the building up top. We got checked in and stayed on what I believe to be the newer part of the park on the other side of the HWY. It is accessed by a steep very rough access rd. The Spaces are well spaced apart but are lacking in maintenance weeds and blackberry bushes are starting to over grow the sites. There is no cable TV and No WIFI on the upper park. There is WIFI on the lower section. There are two pools in the upper park and what was a nice pool area but they are currently drained and the vegetation is taking over. Would we stay here again. Yes it is a nice park. If some money would be spent on Maintenance it could be a great Gem on The Oregon Coast .
Great fishing and crabbing close to Tillamook cheese factory and some local vineyards.
