Rocky Bay Brewing Co

The Rocky Bay Brewing Company is owned by John Swan, with Rich Ruggiero and Terry Sprowl brewing. Rich studied brewing at the Siebel Institute in Chicago, graduating in 1995. After working at Neptune Brewing and James Bay Brewing in New York, both as a brewer and start-up consultant, he moved to Maine in 1997 to operate Rocky Bay Brewing Company. Rocky Bay was opened in 1997 in Rockland Maine. Our wide variety of brewing styles quickly became some of the midcoast's favorites. Rocky Bay covers a full spectrum of beers, from light lager to full-bodied ales. Working in a small capacity brewery, we produce our beer in small, hand-crafted 7 bbl batches on a steam fired brewhouse. The brewery features its own retail store and sampling bar.
