“For All Your Tea Needs, Imported Direct from China”
We recently lived in Beijing, China, where we “accidentally” fell in love with tea. It all started for us former coffee drinkers when we happened upon a local wholesale tea market one day. In the process of bartering for a beautiful gold dragon embossed tea set, we were invited to sit and taste several of the teas the shop had to offer. For more than two hours, the potential language and cultural barrier was washed away by the pure enjoyment of the tea and tea rituals, and we left the shop with our very first bag of loose leaf tea in hand. Thus began our growing passion for tea. For the remainder of our stay in China, most of our free time was spent studying Chinese teas and tea culture, and searching out unique and beautiful tea accessories. Goldfish Tea is the result of our desire to share our knowledge about tea and our passion for it here in the U.S. We sincerely hope our passion is contagious.
