The Garden is a center for botanical research and science education, as well as an oasis in the city of St. Louis. The Garden offers 79 acres of beautiful horticultural display, including a 14-acre Japanese strolling garden, Henry Shaw's original 1850 estate home, and one of the world's largest collections of rare and endangered orchids. For over 151 years, the Garden has been an oasis in the city, a place of beauty and family fun—and also a center for education, science, and conservation.

If you are a fan of plants a must see. Even with heavy labor day traffic had no trouble parking.

I live in St. Louis and this is a regular day off stop. If you are a gardener it is a must see. The variety of garden types suggest amazing ideas for home. There is a home gardener center which gives both ideas and helps to solve problems.

Spring during bulb season is amazing. The Climatron is a delight. If you have kids they will love the Children's garden. Also, don't miss the roses.

We happened to visit during the Chinese lights festival and was beautiful. The weather that day wasn't great but still the lights and amount of work that went into the project was just amazing.
The landscaping of the grounds was clearly well thought out and taken care of.
The price is a little much I thought but considering what impression this place made on me I would recommend anyone to go and visit.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a public garden and arboretum. It is the oldest botanical garden west of the Mississippi River and was founded in 1859.

The garden’s grounds cover 183 acres and contain more than 9,000 kinds of plants from all over the world. The garden also has a large display of glass art from the St. Louis Art Museum.

We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in St. Louis!

Gorgeous garden. I wish I'd had more time to explore. We stopped in during their summer concert series when admission was free. So glad we did.

If it's before April it is not worth it. After I would rate it 5 stars would be absolutely beautiful.
