“Barrel brewery and cask ales”
We're located in the industrial unit on the corner of McGilchrist and 19th St., Salem 3.5 barrel brewery and tasting room with fourteen Santiam Brewing craft beers on tap. Featuring a dedicated cask bar (at cellar temperature), with four cask conditioned ales on tap from our beer engines. Cask ale or cask-conditioned beer is unfiltered and un-pasteurized beer which is "conditioned" (undergoes some secondary fermentation) in the cask from which it is served, and dispensed without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure. Cask ale may also be referred to as "real ale", a term coined by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), a British Consumer Advocacy group primarily responsible for the re-introduction of cask ales after they nearly became extinct in the late 20th century.
