“the oldest house in the Gaslamp Quarter!”
The Gaslamp Museum operates the William Heath Davis House, the oldest house in the Gaslamp Quarter. The William Heath Davis House, built in 1850, is the oldest house in San Diego's Historic Gaslamp Quarter. There are house tours available every day but Monday. Walk inside and you will be transported back to the Victorian Era, where each room represents a different period and function. You can experience the feeling of sailing back through time and living the way early San Diegans did. The self-guided tour includes a brochure that relates many fascinating tidbits about the people who lived in the house and their impact on the area formerly known as "New Town."
