Since opening to the public in 2004, the Museum of Craft and Design has delivered innovative exhibitions and programs to thousands of visitors from San Francisco, the Bay Area and beyond. Our mission is to be an environment for experiencing innovative contemporary work in craft and design that engages the community while stimulating the creative potential in peoples’ lives. How do we do it? It's a team effort! Our board, advisors, staff and consultants bring with them years of experience in museum education and management, the craft and design worlds, and organizational leadership.
