“Savannah, from it's founding to the present”
Did you like the movie Forrest Gump? Would you like to find out about "Buster the coal saving dog"? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then the Savannah History Museum is the place for you! The Savannah History Museum showcases the city's history from its founding in 1733 to the present day, and has everything from an interactive component about Native American cultures to a 1902 Crestmobile, a car that pre-dates the Ford Model A. Visitors can learn about the Revolutionary War in Savannah or see Johnny Mercer's Oscar and Grammy awards. While the kids learn through hands-on play in our children's hat exhibit, the adults can test their wits in a fast-paced trivia quiz. Complete your visit by relaxing in our Sketch Studio and "drawing" inspiration from the Pulaski Monument.
