The downside is that it is right up against I-10 and the off ramp is right beside the campground road. The big rigs shook the trailer all night. The young girls that checked us in were super nice too! Would only stay here again if it was mandatory. All because of the sound.

Ended up here to ride out the holiday weekend and storms. I10 is literally 10 ft away as well as the on/off ramp. The noise was unbearable. Sites are small and tight.
No sleep, jake brake, sirens, never ending loud, did I say noisy? traffic. Never, ever again will we stay here. They need to put up a wall or something.

We stayed here overnight in January 2022. There is interstate noise, but we’ve had way worse. The laundry room is big, very clean and has counter space for folding. It rained almost the entire time we were there and the site had good drainage. Strong cell service.

Okay for an overnight. I-10 noise loud. Heavy sleeper so not really a problem. If staying more than a night I would choose sites 301, 304-308. These sites are furthest from interstate PLUS they have patios with a pergola, furniture, swing, grill and are lakeside! Not much extra price wise but worth it. We were in site 12 which faces lake (no shade) but there is a road between site and lake. Didn’t use any amenities so can’t rate. I do feel that the mini golf, pedal boats, kayaks should be free to campers but are an extra cost. I think they charge for cable also but got 25+ channels on our antenna. WiFi is AWESOME! Nice lady at office said park was built in the late 60’s before I-10. Store on site is well stocked with necessities and RV supplies.

Pricey! $70 for bigger rigs in back. Flat concrete, some have pond views, some built in bbq & picnic tables.
Office great, propane on site $30 for 40lb tank.
Pizza at Rochetto’s excellent- 1/2 mile away or deliver

Very pleasant and friendly staff at check in. One of the few KOA’s that we have been to with no escort to our site. The roads are large enough for large rigs and it was easy to find our site. The site was a pull through with plenty of space. Close to highway and easy to find. We were in the new area and the sites are very nice with grass and spacious. The campground surrounds a lake which allows fishing (no license needed) and pedal boats. The older section of the park needs some work. The pads were cracked concrete and close together. Lots of activities for families during the summer.

I don’t know why the interstate noise doesn’t bother me as much as others but it is not a factor for me. I have been staying here for over 20 years as i have visited my family in the area. I have tried other parks but keep coming back to this one. I usually stay in the front area in a pull through site near the bath house. All sites that i have used are concrete pads and are level. Others use the back-in sites at the lake front and can literally fish out of their back doors. They also have access to a in-ground fire pit along the lake. I love the big oak trees and the shade. The staff are great and helpful and pleasant. The two pools are well maintained, as are the lovely updated bath/shower rooms. They pick up your trash at your site every morning. The oak trees are trimmed so that they offer shade but do not interfere with your rig. I enjoy the shaded areas in the summer which are also closer to the pools, but would pay for the higher priced settings in the back which have no shade in the winter - just because of the nice patches of grass and the patios with swings and furniture. While you are there you must look for the “cake lady” who has lived there for years and buy one of her cakes! Absolutely wonderful. Also Billies next door has the very best boudin balls I’ve ever eaten!

Right on I-10. Traffic is very loud. If you’re running the air you may be able to drown it out.
Sites are level but very close together. So close your picnic table is right next to the next site's sewer connection. No one wants to eat like that. Quite a few full timers here, which is fine as they’re clean.
The staff I talked with is very nice and helpful and giving, but that wasn’t management. That was the ground troops.
Everyone walks their dogs in other peoples sites. Yep, people will bring their dogs into your tiny site to do their business. Why? Maybe because the dog area is a pretty far walk and let’s be honest people are lazy. It’s unthinkable that people would let their dogs urinate on your picnic table or your rig tires, but they do. Numerous times.

KOA is always pretty dependable. This one is near the highway but you can ask to be away from the highway and there was a pretty good spot for me on the east side of their lake. Nice long concrete pull thru sites. At the south side, away from the highway they have a great set of 3 rows for 50amps, looks brand new. They even had pergolas with a bench swing on each side to kick back. Cable was excellent, lots of sat stations came up, even under the trees. Shelters for those with tents. KOA’s are still expensive, even as a member you only get 10% off but I’d collected 1000 points which gave me an unexpected $50 off. Lots of stuff for kids to do. Cabins facing the lake looked nice. Only one bathhouse and that was pretty far away from some of the sites but look over the map at check in if that’s an issue for you.

Looks well maintained and clean. We only stayed 1 night and did not use any of the facilities. It was a bit annoying that with the campground only being about 1/3 full they put us right next to another camper. Which was frustrating as we arrived late and disturbed them a bit. They were friendly and talkative but I was beat. Lots of dogs that you can hear in the morning if that bothers you. Small sites but shady and well maintained. Level concrete pads. Overall good short experience.
