Seward Park is beautiful and not far from the city, an undeveloped peninsula with a wonderful loop around the perimeter and dozens of smaller trails through the forest. Great for biking, running, walking, picnics, and even Bon fires at the waterfront fire pit along the loop.

It is a great place to view Mt Rainier a level paved walking trail that loops the park about 2 miles. It is busy and too many dog walkers. The urban forest is never crowded and a great hike for kids or those who do not want high elevation. There are several smaller parks and quick hikes close by.

It's a beautiful park and large. It's just very busy. Parking can be hard.
