Lake Seminole Park covers more than 250 acres and is centrally located to several communities, including St. Petersburg, Seminole, Largo, and Pinellas Park. It is located immediately adjacent to Lake Seminole. Lake Seminole Park is a designated wildlife habitat and sanctuary. Raccoons, alligators, various waterfowl, hawks, bald eagles, black vultures, tortoises/turtles, snakes, etc. reside in this park, and provide many pleasant hours for nature enthusiasts and families. The park has a 2-mile multi-use trail (jogging, hiking, bicycling/rollerblading) that winds through a pine flatwoods. A 1-mile cut-off is available for those less vigorous. Lake Seminole affords hours of pleasure for boaters, jet skiers, water-skiing, fishing, etc. A softball field and volleyball courts are available on a first come, first served basis. Benches and swings are strategically situated for relaxing views of the several ponds and the lake.
