“Places in CA”
Amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds such as this one, and the natural attractiveness at this primitive campground is good. If you fancy the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's playing golf, swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The pleasant variety of local attractions and so much stuff to do are perfect causes to come. Anxious to set up that camp site; Slaughterhouse Island Campground in California is a fine location to go. Slaughterhouse Island Campground is a very popular campground with folks in Shasta Lake. California has scores of outdoors activities. So much cool stuff next to Slaughterhouse Island Campground, and it positively is a fine campground. When you arrive at this primitive campground you'll realize it was well worth the effort getting here. If you go for nature you will like a primitive campground like this one. 188 feet of elevation variation and 3.7 miles of backcountry backpacking is what you get at Dry Creek Trail, a pretty wilderness hiking trail nearby. Sacramento River Arm is in the vicinity of Slaughterhouse Island Campground and is a great spot to explore; in case you want to get out on the water, Antler Resort & Marina is close by. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Shasta, and if you have a boat, Sugarloaf Resort is a good marina. The surroundings of this campground have such a vast number of things to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Dry Creek Trail, and lots of folks from Shasta Lake come here. A great site to visit right next door to Slaughterhouse Island Campground is Frost Gulch, and getting to Pit River from Slaughterhouse Island Campground is easy.
i have a request and i have full support of some other residents me and a friend of mine are disgusted at what univerisity of oregon has done to a part of our history we feel disrespected that they would come down and trash a piece of our history me and a friend are offering security services to protect our history i do not have security experiance but what we do have to offer is at the moment two people that are willing to go out there protect it we understand funds maybe an issue but we are offering our services for free cause it is a matter of respect and pride. I respectfully request that you take this under advisement with some type of security presence hopefully it will deter anyone from vandalising the campsite again my name is jason holmes here is where you may reach me twitter= @wiccahighpriest/skype= dj_westcoast1/ facebook=https://www.facebook.com/Viperwolf11979 .
