“pumping out potable red water”
An Artesian Well is basically a pumpless well that is notable for being able to defy gravity as the pressure alone can get the water rise to the surface. Tons of these wells are found in the US. However, one of the most famous ones can be found in Shubuta, Mississippi. The Shubuta Artesian Well pumps out red water that is potable, and safe for consumption. The pigmentation of the pure liquid is basically due to the harmless minerals that get diluted in the available water source, giving it a specific look instead of being colorless. For a time, people drank the red water from the Shubuta Artesian Well because they believe that it has medical value. Doctors advised that the red water could help cure gout, rheumatism, constipation, and other digestive ailments.
It is just a well don't expect too much. Water is constantly flowing. The town seemed pretty closed for the day when we drove by. Just a quick hop out of the car and filled out bottle water.
