“Discover the Ancient Culture!”
Good Earth State Park at Blood Run National Historic Landmark southeast of Sioux Falls is an important cultural and historical site as well as a unique nature retreat. The site itself is one of the oldest sites of long-term human habitation in the U.S.
This is still a very young park, but is shaping up to be great. We walked the trail with three observation decks, which was an easy loop with nice views. We'll be going back to explore more, as they have several miles of trail, all with views of the Big Sioux River. A new visitor center is being built and signs indicate that it will be open May 19, 2017.
