“one of Northwest Missouri's greatest treasures”
Nestled in the countryside just a stone's throw north of Kansas City, Missouri is one of Northwest Missouri's greatest treasures. Ladoga Ridge Winery, which opened in September 2011, is a labor of love for owners Galen and Leinda Haddock. It began with the dream, then the plan. After many months of hard work, finally - Ladoga Ridge Winery became a reality. In this Missouri winery, the Haddocks have established a quaint haven where visitors can escape from the rush of the workaday world. Whether you join them for a relaxing glass of wine with friends, a tour of the winery and vineyards, one of their wine tastings, a wedding or other family gathering - you are sure to be glad you visited.Their first wine, a cab/merlot, was named "Yankee Smith" in honor of Smithville's first settler, Humphrey "Yankee" Smith. The Haddocks cellared, blended and refined "Yankee," and Ladoga Ridge Winery bottled their first wine on August 5, 2011.
