SOPAC is a state-of-the-art performing arts center in South Orange, New Jersey featuring Singer-Songwriters, Blues, Jazz, Comedy, Theatre, Dance, and more. The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit performing arts organization presenting diverse performing arts programs that include arts education partnerships and programs for people with disabilities, delivers artistic, educational, and innovative experiences within an intimate, inviting environment, and promotes regional involvement in the arts, serving as a catalyst for economic development and continued revitalization of South Orange’s Central Business District. SOPAC consists of a 415-seat theater in addition to the SOPAC Loft in which it hosts a variety of live performances, community events and education programs for all ages. SOPAC is home of Seton Hall University Arts Council performances, including the Classical Concert Series, Jazz in the Hall performances and Seton Hall Theatre productions. SOPAC partners with the Juilliard School of Music to present the Juilliard @ SOPAC series featuring upcoming musicians from the acclaimed conservatory. SOPAC presents performances by its theater company in residence, Midtown Direct Rep, and its dance company in residence, Lydia Johnson Dance.
