“wines from Northern Michigan's finest vineyards”
Left Foot Charley is a relatively new winery in the Village at Grand Traverse Commons. Owner/winemaker Bryan Ulbrich has spent the last decade feeding an obsession around Northern Michigan's fantastic white wines. In that time he has crafted some of the most acclaimed wines East of that other Left Coast - you know they call it Cali-something- they grow great avocados there. Anyway...in 2004, he helped rejuvenate a friend's struggling Riesling vineyard and created 200 cases of his first wine under the LFC label. He and his wife Jennifer are in the midst of creating Northern Michigan's first urban winery in the center of the historic Northern Michigan Asylum now known as The Village. Left Foot Charley = Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Gewurztraminer from Northern Michigan's finest vineyards. We are working with the area's most significant small vineyards, ranging in size from 1-6 acres. We believe that this quartet of grapes exemplify why Northern Michigan is a world class wine growing region. Open June - October. Mon-Sat 11-7, Sun 12-6. Nov. - May call for hours. On This Page ?
