“Outdoors & Recreation in Trinidad, CA”
Trinidad State Beach is north of Eureka in Humboldt County, California. This scenic state beach is accessed from a signposted side road at Trinity Street and Stagecoach Road in the seaside town of Trinidad. The parking lot at Trinidad Bay below Trinidad Head is another popular access point. The offshore rocks are part of the California Coastal National Monument. Colorful tide pools provide specimens to Humboldt State University's Fred Telonicher Marine Laboratory located in Trinidad. Nearby parks include Little River State Beach just south of Trinidad and to the north, Patrick's Point State Park. The Beach's latitude and longitude are 41.0594 / -124.1420.
Start at the light house, it's a left instead of a right when you see the sign for the beach. The light house honors those who have been fisherman from the area and a few of those who were lost at sea. The view of the bay and coast line from here is so tranquil and haunting at the same time. Then venture down the hill to the boat ramp. There is parking down there and you can walk right on to the beach. There is even a small tide pool area.
It's very pretty here. The views are great. Lots of parking. There are two sides. One side has a pier, a restaurant, and a little sheltered cove. The other is a large beach.
Very windy. Even with warm temps. Bring a coat.
This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in the world! I’m planning on coming back again soon! 😍🌊
